Co-op Live enters the autumn of 2026 with a run of major dates beginning on Tuesday 1 September, when The Neighbourhood bring their world tour to east Manchester, followed by A$AP Rocky on Saturday 5 September, Evanescence on Thursday 10 September and Melanie Martinez on Saturday 12 September. A Co-op Live chauffeur service addresses a venue that holds twenty three thousand people on a site shared with the Etihad Stadium, which produces arrival conditions unlike anywhere else in the city. Understanding the Sportcity Site
The arena sits on Sports City Way alongside the Etihad campus, east of the city centre and reached principally from Alan Turing Way and Ashton New Road. The site is large and well organised, but it funnels a very substantial crowd through a limited number of approaches, and on nights when a football fixture and an arena show fall close together the whole area operates under heavy management.
The essential planning point is that the campus itself is easy to enter and slow to leave. A vehicle that drives all the way in before a show will be waiting a long time afterwards, whereas one that sets down on the periphery and collects from an agreed point outside the immediate crush is moving within minutes.
Arrival Timing for a Large Show
Doors at Co-op Live typically open around ninety minutes before the headline act, and the heaviest arrival flow falls in the final forty minutes before the support. Arriving ahead of that window is comfortable, and arriving inside it is not. For the September dates, which fall on a mixture of weeknights and Saturdays, the weeknight shows carry the additional complication of commuter traffic on the eastern approaches until well into the evening.
Departing After the Show
The end of a sold-out arena show places more than twenty thousand people onto the same paths within about fifteen minutes. Our chauffeurs do not attempt to be at the doors for that. The arrangement we recommend is a collection point a short walk from the venue, confirmed by message once the encore finishes, which means walking for five minutes into a waiting vehicle rather than standing for forty in a queue. Travelling In From Across the Region
Co-op Live draws from a very wide catchment, and the sensible approach varies considerably. From Cheshire the M60 and the eastern approaches work better than attempting to cross the city centre. From Merseyside the M62 feeds naturally into the eastern side of Manchester, which makes Sportcity one of the easier city venues to reach from Liverpool. From North Wales the M56 route requires crossing to the far side of the city, so allowing extra time is essential. Guests travelling from chauffeur service Liverpool generally find this the most straightforward Manchester venue of them all.

Football Fixtures on the Same Site
The single most useful thing to know about this venue is that it shares its immediate surroundings with the Etihad Stadium. When a Manchester City home fixture falls on the same day as an arena show, or on the day before or after, the whole Sportcity area operates under extended traffic management and the approaches behave quite differently from an ordinary event night. We check the football calendar against every arena booking as a matter of routine, because a guest who plans a straightforward arrival on a day when sixty thousand people are also moving through the same junctions will not have a straightforward arrival.
Arriving From Manchester Airport
A considerable share of arena audiences now travel in from outside the region, and the run from Manchester Airport to Sportcity crosses the city rather than skirting it. The M56 approach feeds into the southern side and the eastern campus sits on the far side, which makes this a longer transfer than the mileage suggests, particularly for an evening show arriving into the tail of the commuter peak. Guests flying in for a specific date should plan the transfer on that basis rather than on a map distance.
